In 2008, Freshwater Trio is proud to continue as one of Australia's foremost performing chamber ensembles. Acclaimed by audiences and peers alike, Freshwater Trio comprises three professional musicians of stunning musical pedigree, linked by their passion for performing and their innovative approach to music-making.

Join them for a feast of the senses as they present their 3rd Concert Series which explores the magical relationship between colour and music through an illuminating collection of repertoire. Held over three evenings at Melba Hall, audiences will be treated to a kaleidoscopic array of new and old piano trio repertoire. Joined by internationally acclaimed clarinettist Carl Rosman (musikFabrik Cologne) they will present Oliver Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time, as well as trios by Mozart, Brahms, Schubert, Smalley and Haydn. Freshwater Trio involves Australian composers Mark Knoop, Carl Rosman, Adam Yee and Adam Starr with some thought-provoking transcriptions of Scriabin Preludes.

Freshwater Trio also appears for Musica Viva for the first time in the popular Coffee Concert Series, as well as for the Melba Festival, Macedon Music Series, Camberwell Music Society and many other local and regional festivals and series.
