Freshwater in Schools program 2010

Freshwater Trio is proud to announce its education program, Freshwater in Schools specially tailored to the needs of today’s young students. This program aims to foster a love and understanding of chamber music through teaching and performing.

Who are we?

Freshwater Trio comprises three musicians of stunning musical pedigree and a deep commitment to music and teaching. Freshwater Trio combines the best in international training with a passion for teaching Australian music and the next generation of musicians. Its members have experience teaching at tertiary, secondary and primary level including:  St.Stephens College (Gold Coast), Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, Monash University, Australian Youth Orchestra Chamber Music Camp 2010, Xavier College, Trinity Grammar School, Presbyterian Ladies’ College, King David School, Beth Rivkah College, and most recently as Resident Ensemble at Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School.

For a number of years Freshwater Trio has gifted the Freshwater Trio Encouragement Award through the Musical Society of Victoria, and taught many successful ensembles and soloists through VCE (including Premier Award winners), University, AMEB examinations. 

What do we offer?

Freshwater in Schools is geared towards all year and expertise levels. Give your students the edge in preparation for VCE ensemble and solo performance examinations.

All Freshwater Trio Series concerts offer $15 Student Rush tickets.

Freshwater in Schools program looks forward to meeting the next generation of potential young musicians, and further cementing Melbourne’s reputation as the Australian chamber music capital of Australia.

Affordable payment packages can be negotiated based on standard industry rates. We require access to a grand piano.
